Founding Product Marketing Lead
- India
Job description
Parallel is a product and brand design studio. Since 2013, we’ve built products and web experiences for ambitious startups, mostly in AI and B2B SaaS. Around 40 of us. All obsessed with craft.
Technical founders often have a compelling product and a website that doesn’t explain why it matters. We’re building a practice at Parallel to help them get that story right and turn it into websites that earn trust and drive action.
We work with early-stage technology founders, primarily in Silicon Valley, on their websites and marketing collateral. We often come in before they have a marketing team, when the product is moving quickly, and much of the company’s story still lives in the founder’s head.
You’ll build our positioning and website copy practice, working directly with client founders and alongside our designers and developers. You’ll own the work from the first product conversation through launch and improvement.
What you’ll do
Get into each client’s product: try it, read the documentation, speak with engineers, and understand the customer problem it solves.
Lead founder and customer interviews. Define positioning, differentiation, and messaging, then turn those decisions into website structure and final copy.
Partner with designers on the complete experience: visual hierarchy, product storytelling, proof, navigation, and calls to action.
Bring a conversion mindset to every page. Understand what visitors need before they’ll act, identify friction, and develop hypotheses to improve results.
Define meaningful website goals and measurement with the team. Use analytics, customer feedback, and sales insights to decide what to improve, including when traffic is too low for reliable A/B testing.
Extend the narrative into decks, launch materials, and sales collateral.
Build the practice: how we scope engagements, run discovery, review work, measure outcomes, and eventually hire and develop the team.
Who we’re looking for
You combine technical fluency, excellent writing, and strong design judgment. You can understand how a product works, decide which details matter to its audience, and help create a website that feels considered and makes the next step clear.
You may have studied computer science, worked as an engineer, built products yourself, or developed technical depth through product marketing. You should be able to explore a product independently and earn technical founders' confidence.
You’ll also bring
Work that shows you can turn a complex product into clear positioning and compelling website copy.
A strong eye for design, with the ability to explain why a layout, interaction, or visual strengthens or weakens the story.
Practical knowledge of conversion optimization and website analytics. You can connect visitor behavior to specific changes and distinguish useful evidence from a promising-looking number.
The judgment to challenge founders constructively and defend your choices.
Experience working closely with design and development to ship, learn, and improve.
The initiative to build a function while personally delivering the work.
Why join
You’ll shape the offer, process, quality standards, and team for a new practice at Parallel. You’ll work directly with technical founders at a stage when clearer positioning and a better website can materially improve how they reach customers.
This is a hands-on leadership role. You’ll initially run the interviews, write the pages, and help evaluate performance yourself. As the practice grows, you’ll build a team around that work.
